The Alliance Digital Repository (http://adr.coalliance.org)  is a consortial digital repository service currentlybeing developed at the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries.  The repository actively develops andmaintains a set of services and open source tools to support ingestion, searchand discovery, digital object delivery and presentation, and preservation ofdigital content (i.e. digital images, text, audio files, video, and other content).

Web 2.0 & Libraries Round Table

On April 18, colleagues from Alliance member libraries gathered around a table to discuss and present how they are implementing Web 2.0 applications in their library.  It was interesting to see how so many librarians have dived into this latest set of technologies to create different access points to library resources.  Rather than post minutes on the session, Steve Lawson from Colorado College has created a wiki with links to projects Alliance libraries have created.  http://allianceroundtable.pbwiki.com/

NexGen Library Intefaces-All Alliance Conference

Close to 200 librarians attended the Next Generation Library Interfaces All Alliance conference.  The day began with a welcome from Alan Charnes,executive director of the Alliance.  Immediately following, MarshallBreeding, Director for Innovative Technologies and Research fromVanderbilt University, provided an overview of the marketplace of nextgeneration library interfaces.  Representatives from Aquabrowser, OCLC,TLC, and Ex Libris gave presentations on their Next Generationproduct.  Glen Newton, Researcher from the National Research Council ofCanada was the afternoon k
