Prospector Cataloging Site Liaisons

The following people have been officially designated by their libraries as members of the Prospector Cataloging Site Liaisons group. Communication with this group will be primarily through the Prospector Cataloging Listserv (Prosp-Cat-L) although individuals may be directly contacted if problems are site specific.

About the Prospector Cataloging Site Liaisons

Objective: Cataloging Site Liaisons will provide a point of contact for other Prospector libraries who have inquiries concerning catalog maintenance, access, and record merging.

Communication: Site contacts are not intended to be a deliberative body. Electronic information exchange among them may be facilitated by a listserv comprised of all site contacts. Liaisons are expected to designate a replacement when they are unavailable, so that cooperative operational matters requiring prompt attention will be addressed in a timely manner.

Problem Reports: Liaisons will develop problem reporting mechanisms and distribution procedures. A web reporting form has been suggested as one possible approach.

Appointment: Directors at Prospector member libraries will designate a Cataloging Site Liaison for their institution.
