Prospector Passes Half Million Lends in 2008

 

The Prospector union catalog has passed a new milestone for deliveries in calendar 2008 (January through December).  Prospector delivered 500,814 items in calendar year 2008, up from 426,647 items in calendar year 2007 – a 17.3 percent increase.

 

Prospector is the largest library union catalog in the Rocky Mountain region with 25 libraries representing over 8.5 million unique titles and 25 million items.  Users may borrow books, DVDs, music CDs and other formats of materials collected by libraries.  Books may be checked out for three weeks and renewed for an additional three weeks.  Media (primarily DVDs and CDs) can be borrowed for one week with no renewals.
