The mission of the Shared Collection Development committee is to promote the working together of collection development staff across Alliance member libraries. The overall charge to the committee is the evaluation and installation of agreements, routines and technologies that might improve the quality of member library collections and lower acquisition costs. The committee is empowered to consider any aspect of print or electronic material, the key being the identification of opportunities to leverage existing resources.
